Meet Brandon Wellford

Brandon Wellford is the Chief Financial Officer of the Memphis Bioworks Foundation and is responsible for the financial and real estate functions for the Foundation and its various projects and initiatives. Prior to joining Memphis Bioworks, he worked 15 years for a real estate development firm in the Washington, D.C. area.

Brandon is a CPA and holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He was born at the former Baptist Hospital, about 50 yards away from his current office and now the site of the developing UT-Baptist Research Park for which he is responsible for development. Brandon serves on the Investment Committee for Innova Fund I, a seed venture fund; is Chair of the Finance Committee for InMotion Musculoskeletal Institute; serves as a Board member for two start-up companies — Vaxent and CirQuest; and was just named to the board of the Lifeblood Foundation.
