Meet Ken Woody

Ken is President of Innova Memphis, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Memphis Bioworks Foundation, focused on finding, funding and growing start-up technology businesses in Tennessee. With six equity investments within the Innova portfolio, Ken’s time is also spent mentoring the management teams and helping them make the difficult decisions that come with being a start-up.

Ken developed his leadership skills as an Army officer, as an entrepreneur and as a Fortune 500 Executive. His experience includes more than 16 years at GE, serving as a VP and General Manager within the Healthcare and Capital divisions. He also served as VP of Sales for DePuy Spine in Boston before relocating to Memphis. In addition, Ken was Senior Vice-President for Global Sales with Smith and Nephew Orthopedics.

Ken has worked extensively in mergers and acquisitions within the Biotechnology, Medical Device and IT sectors. He also founded his own consulting practice in strategic planning and business management.
