Accomplishing Our Mission.

The Memphis Bioworks Foundation has a very focused mission with broad responsibilities that yield benefits reaching deep into the community. Quite simply, our job is:

"To establish the Memphis region as an internationally recognized center for the development and commercialization of biomedical technologies."

To accomplish this mission, we're responsible for four general areas necessary for continued growth in the bioscience industry. These initiatives not only help Memphis build a new economic engine, they revitalize the community.

Provide Program Leadership.

The Foundation serves as the focal point in the community by providing strategic leadership for bioscience growth, branding, communications and direction.

Build Infrastructure.

We are creating the facilities, environment, and resources necessary for businesses, researchers, and entrepreneurs to succeed in their endeavors.

Grow the Workforce.

Because a skilled workforce is so vital to the bioscience industry, we are launching new educational programs and outreach initiatives throughout the community.

Drive Entrepreneurship.

We encourage entrepreneurship and economic growth by fostering research, incubating new companies, and forming long-lasting business partnerships.
